- Examine the key theoretical concepts, policies and legislation underlying mental health and wellbeing, to critically evaluate their application in professional practice
- Demonstrate a comprehensive and in-depth understanding of the opportunities within the professional discipline and develop the key skills, responsibilities and professional standards required of a career in this field
- Use current and relevant evidence to critically analyse contemporary political, economic, social, technological, legal, cultural and environmental factors and issues affecting mental health and wellbeing on an individual, community and societal level
- Demonstrate an informed understanding of reflection by applying relevant and appropriate approaches to critically reflect upon personal and professional values, competence and ethics
- Critically analyse appropriate and relevant evidence to demonstrate an informed understanding of the different and varying perspectives and approaches to mental health and wellbeing across diverse groups and cultures
- Apply appropriate risk assessment frameworks, to demonstrate a comprehensive, evidence-based understanding of the maintenance and promotion of safe working practices in the field of mental health and wellbeing.

Entry Criteria
Standard Entry Requirements
A typical offer would be BCC at A-Level or DMM at BTEC / 112 UCAS Points.
Foundation Year Entry Requirements
The standard entry requirements for an Integrated Foundation Year are DEE at A level or MPP at BTEC / 64 UCAS Points.
English Language Requirements
All students applying with International or EU qualifications must meet the following minimum English language requirements:
IELTS 6.0 (or equivalent) with a minimum of 5.5 in all bands for study at the undergraduate level.
